American Legion Post 9 has served Alameda veterans for generations, meeting inside the Alameda Veterans Memorial Building, a Spanish Colonial Revival landmark built in 1929 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Our members represent every branch of the U.S. Armed Forces and every generation of service, from Korea and Vietnam to the Gulf War and the post-9/11 era. Together, we honor those who came before us while preparing the next generation of veterans to lead with honor and integrity.
